THE PROBLEM
The tools that work for HQ fail the field. English interfaces, 4G requirements, and desktop-first design exclude the people who actually run your operations.
Your field workers cannot use the AI tools your HQ invested in
A delivery agent in Patna, a route salesman in Coimbatore, a warehouse supervisor in Nagpur — they power your last-mile operations and none of them can interact with an English-only enterprise system. The AI investment that looks good in a board deck stops at the state highway.
Low connectivity is not an edge case. It is the operating condition.
Enterprise apps designed for 4G LTE fail on 2G rural networks. When the app cannot load, workers call their managers. Managers call the ERP team. Everyone waits. The intelligence that should reach the field stays locked in HQ.
ERP data is accessible to the people who need it least
Inventory levels, delivery schedules, pricing updates — this information sits in SAP, accessible to analysts who are already surrounded by data. The delivery agent who needs to know if a shipment is confirmed before driving 40km does not have access. He calls someone. They call someone else.
WHAT VAANI OS DOES
Built from the ground up for Indian linguistic diversity, connectivity constraints, and enterprise data access.
Hindi and Regional ASR — Trained on how your workforce actually speaks
Commercial Hindi ASR is trained on broadcast audio — newsreaders and studio recordings. Vaani’s models are trained on code-switched field speech: Hinglish, Bhojpuri-inflected Hindi, Marathi-accented commands, Tamil-medium instructions. The difference is not marginal — it is the difference between a system workers trust and one they abandon after a week.
Conversational NLU — Intent without translation
“Kal ka delivery kab aayega?” resolves to a delivery-status query instantly. “Mere paas kitna stock hai?” pulls live inventory. The system understands the question in the language it was asked — no translation step, no reformulation required. Workers speak naturally. The ERP responds.
IVR Integration — No smartphone, no app install, no adoption problem
Deployed over existing IVR infrastructure, workers call a number and speak their query. Any phone, any network, including 2G. No app to install, no data plan required, no IT rollout. Workers who cannot read English — or at all — can query your ERP through a phone call.
WhatsApp Business API — The channel your workforce already uses daily
Field reps interact via WhatsApp — voice messages, text, or images. Orders and queries flow through a channel they open twenty times a day. No new behaviour to learn. Adoption is immediate because the interface is already familiar.
ERP and Backend Integration — Live data, not cached answers
Vaani connects to SAP, Oracle, or your internal systems via API. Every query retrieves live data — delivery status, inventory levels, pricing updates — at the moment the worker asks. No manual lookup, no waiting for a reply from HQ, no information that is 24 hours out of date.
Offline and Low-Bandwidth — Graceful where connectivity fails
Critical query types are cached locally for offline resolution. Voice input is captured on 2G and synced when connectivity improves. Workers in rural routes, deep warehouse locations, or areas with intermittent signal get answers where they are — not only where the network is strong.
HOW IT WORKS
Vaani OS meets workers where they already are: on their phone, on WhatsApp, or on a call.
1
STEP 1
Worker places a query
Via IVR call, WhatsApp message, or the mobile app — in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, or any of the eight supported languages. The worker speaks naturally, in the language they are most comfortable with. No reformulation required.
2
STEP 2
ASR and NLU processing
Speech is transcribed, intent is extracted, and the query is understood — including code-switching, regional dialect variations, and ambient noise. The system resolves what the worker meant, not just what they said.
3
STEP 3
ERP data is fetched
Vaani queries the connected backend — SAP, Oracle, or your internal system — for live, accurate information. Delivery schedules, inventory counts, pricing, outstanding orders. The answer is sourced from the same system your head office reads from.
4
STEP 4
Response delivered in the worker’s language
The answer is returned in the same language and on the same channel the worker used. No app switching, no escalation to a manager, no waiting for a callback. The query is resolved in under 400ms from the moment the worker finishes speaking.
INTEGRATION
Deploy over the channels your workforce already uses. No app rollout required for IVR deployment. No new devices. No training programme. Workers who call a number and speak are productive from day one.
